Neither those who disbelieve from the People of the Scripture nor the polytheists wish that any good should be sent down to you from your Lord. But Allah selects for His mercy whom He wills and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
O you who have believed prescribed for you is legal retribution for those murdered - the free for the free the slave for the slave and the female for the female. But whoever overlooks from his brother anything then there should be a suitable follow-up and payment to him with good conduct. This is an alleviation from your Lord and a mercy. But whoever transgresses after that will have a painful punishment.
Indeed those who have believed and those who have emigrated and fought in the cause of Allah - those expect the mercy of Allah. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. Our Lord do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector so give us victory over the disbelieving people.
But when she delivered her she said My Lord I have delivered a female. And Allah was most knowing of what she delivered And the male is not like the female. And I have named her Mary and I seek refuge for her in You and [for] her descendants from Satan the expelled [from the mercy of Allah].
So by mercy from Allah[O Muhammad]you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude [in speech] and harsh in heart they would have disbanded from about you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. And when you have decided then rely upon Allah. Indeed Allah loves those who rely [upon Him].
And when there comes to them information about [public] security or fear they spread it around. But if they had referred it back to the Messenger or to those of authority among them then the ones who [can] draw correct conclusions from it would have known about it. And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy you would have followed Satan except for a few.
And if it was not for the favor of Allah upon you[O Muhammad]and His mercy a group of them would have determined to mislead you. But they do not mislead except themselves and they will not harm you at all. And Allah has revealed to you the Book and wisdom and has taught you that which you did not know. And ever has the favor of Allah upon you been great.
Say To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth? Say To Allah. He has decreed upon Himself mercy. He will surely assemble you for the Day of Resurrection about which there is no doubt. Those who will lose themselves [that Day] do not believe.
And when those come to you who believe in Our verses say Peace be upon you. Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy: that any of you who does wrong out of ignorance and then repents after that and corrects himself - indeed He is Forgiving and Merciful.
